Brian Donnellan is Vice President, Dean of International Affairs in the Maynooth University and Professor of Management Information Systems in the university’s business school. He is Co-Principal Investigator at the Irish Software Research Centre and Funded Investigator in other national research centres. He is currently Chairman of the All-Ireland Smart Cities Forum. He is an expert evaluator for the European Commission and has been guest and associate editor of several leading IS journals including Journal of IT, Journal of Strategic Information Systems and MIS Quarterly. Prior to becoming an academic he spent 20 years working in the IT industry, specializing in Information Systems for Innovation and New Product Development.
