Shawna Slack is the CEO of Genesis Advisers, a global leadership development consultancy with an expertise in onboarding and accelerating leadership transitions. Shawna co-founded Genesis Advisers in 2003 with business school professor and global leadership guru Dr. Michael Watkins, author of The First 90 Days: Proven Strategies for Getting Up to Speed Faster and Smarter (Harvard Business). Genesis is the exclusive global provider of First 90 Days workshops, coaching and online learning. The Genesis Advisers team designs and delivers coaching, workshops, and online and blended learning solutions to support leadership development goals in partnership with clients. As CEO of Genesis Advisers, Shawna has built The First 90 Days products and solutions including The First 90 Days Online (Sept. 2015) as well as a global team of executive coaches and executive workshop facilitators. Today, she works on strategic client relationships and company strategy. Shawna serves on the board of Entrepreneurs’ Organization’s Boston Chapter, and will be EO Boston President of the Board for the 2016-17 term. Prior to founding Genesis Advisers, Shawna was a principle at YankeeTek Ventures where she focused on internet hardware, software and material science investments. Before that, she worked in sales and marketing in both the software and financial services industries. She has a BA in Journalism from New York University and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
